Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. Highly recommended! The lamb dishes and the vindaloo were big hits with my family.

Loved this restaurant! Food was amazing and authentic! Our server was super sweet and very attentive. Food was worth the wait and a very cozy vibe in there. Prices are very good and reasonable not like most places nowadays.

A restaurant with a twist. Most people don't know about Balti curries. Cooked and served in their own vessels and served with Naan instead of rice. Plenty of traditional food too and being Britain, the cooking style is Bangladeshi which has incredible flavours.

Brilliant. The best Indian restaurant in Beverley. It's the first Indian restaurant that I tried in Beverley and even though I've tried others I would always go back to Akash and would recommend it to others. One of my favourite dishes is the king prawn palak. Really excellent. A really nice variety of speciality dishes as well as the classics. Service is always excellent and very friendly.

Really lovely whether dining on or take away. The food is lovely and fresh with plenty of fresh herbs. The owner is particularly friendly and goes out of his way to be personable and attentive. I've been to a number of Indian restaurants in the Beverley area but in my oppinion this is the pick of the bunch.

Went there last night with some mates. I think it was good but I can't remember much about it. Judging by the curry stain on my jacket I'm guessing I had my usual - a garlic chilli chicken masala. No dramatic tummy problems today so I'm happy to conclude that it was fine quality. Also, I have a hazy recollection of friendly smiling faces (including quite a comely tall blonde waitress), so all in all it's four stars. I may up it to five if I go back and remember the experience next time.

My husband, being of Beverley stock, has always recommended this restaurant to me as the best Indian in Beverley but I never sampled it myself until this year. And he was right! It's a very basic restaurant in terms of layout and decor, and quite functional in appearance, but the food is something else. I had possibly the nicest vegetarian curry I've ever eaten (even my carnivore hubby was tempted by it), and we also had a bottle of the house wine which was well priced and very drinkable. The Akash is tucked away upstairs (opposite Oxfam!) and it's not heavily advertised - I'd never have noticed it if I didn't have my husband to point it out, so I suspect it's a secret that Beverley people keep to themselves. Definitely give it a try

Akash is an Indian restaurant situated up a staircase, accessible from Toll Gavel. It is easy to miss if you have not been there before. I have had some splendid meals there. The service is effusively friendly and if you are ordering a takeaway, they will even offer to carry the food to your car for you. Prices are reasonable and there is a wide range of specials on the menu.
